Social Network for PR People

Okay… I’m interested.

Ragan’s has just launched myRagan.com – a social network for PR people.  I haven’t played with it much, but I like the idea.

Who wants to be my friendster?  http://www.MyRagan.com/joinNetwork.php?network=Ragan&rflc=54qdudm

I checked it out, but it seemed like more of a distraction than a plus.

I think the idea has potential. I’m going to ride it out for a little while to see if it’s worth my time.

I’m up there, too, Ryan, but until more communicators join, I’m not sure how helpful it will be to me.I do like the fact that it has a PR/Corporate Communication focus.

Okay… I admit. I’m just looking for more external validation of my popularity. Someone give me a high five.

We’ve got almost 2,300 people signed up now, fellas, and I think this site promises to be the MySpace of the corporate communication/PR industry.

    Have another look!

(And DEFINITELY give me your feedback, either here or via e-mail.)

Between MyRagan, Facebook, LinkedIn, Melcrum’s new one, and anything else out there, how do you choose which one makes sense?

I’m going to ‘monitor’ them for a bit, and then select my participation strategically, as I explain in a recent blog post: http://tinyurl.com/2l26v4
