Sounds like a good reason to me…
From a friend of mine who just took over an executive director role at a not for profit festival:
Hi, I’d like to cancel my Yellow Pages ad.
Okay sir, can I ask why?
Because it’s the year 2007.
…
Sounds like a good reason to me.

For a second there, I was going to stand up for Yellow Pages listings.
Then I remembered that, in their online directory, they never include a direct hyperlink to a company or a store’s website – if there’s one available.
It’s all about keeping people inside the Yellow Pages fenceposts – in print and online.
I mean – the GD listing for Magma doesn’t have a hyperlink!
You would think that they would do more with their online properties… there’s so much potential.
As for their print edition, I actually saw a phonebook the other day and realized that I hadn’t seen one for almost a year. Odd to think, but do you have one in your office?
